Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage Plans, sometimes called "Part C", "MAPD" or "MA Plans" . These plans are an alternative to Original Medicare. They are offered by private companies approved by Medicare. If you join a Medicare Advantage Plan, you still have Medicare. These plans include Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance), and usually Medicare drug coverage (Part D).
Medicare Prescription Drug Plans
Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) or sometimes called " PDPs" add drug coverage to Original Medicare.
Medicare Supplement Health plans
A Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan is used with original Medicare. It is important to note that Supplements do NOT include Prescription Drug Coverage (Part D, PDP) and will generally be added as a stand alone to avoid a late enrollment penalty.
Dental Plans
Original Medicare does not cover dental, so it is important to consider your coverage and needs when enrolling in your Medicare Health Plan. Stand alone options are also available.
